In search of opportunity, Frank and Pia Brandani made the journey to America in 1961. Frank worked at various bakeries and continued his education in the baking industry. With his dedication and passion, Brandani’s Pizza was born in 1970 located on West Ridge Road. In 1972, they relocated to East Ridge Road where they successfully operated for the next 10 years. Frank and Pia then returned to Italy where they operated a pizzeria for five years. Ultimately, they came back to America in 1986 and opened Brandani’s Pizza on West Henrietta Road. They operated here for the next 19 years before passing the business on to a former employee who had become like family.
In April of 2005, Joe and Rick Cenzi took over Brandani’s Pizza. Joe worked for over five years with Frank and Pia Brandani, along with their children Romeo and Carol. With the dedication, passion and enthusiasm for baking, Joe has brought Brandani’s Pizza to a different level. Frank and Pia have continued teaching Joe and Rick about baking and the art of homemade gelato (Italian ice cream) that they grew up with in a little town called Rocca di Mezzo.
